BEST Book for Film Producers (Get it Now)

I’ve been working as a film producer now for about three and a half years and I’ve got quite a number of credits.  Much to my surprise I seem to be producing something every year or so.

Furthermore, I’m now actively supporting several hundred other film producers through ebooks, websites and meetings usually for little or no compensation just because I really like independent film and the hearty souls who decide to produce it.

I have a few books I actively recommend.

BUILD YOUR BUSINESS NOW by Doug Richard is absolutely chief among them.  Why? Because producing a film is building a small business.  In order to produce a film as anything more than expensive hobby you must treat it as a business.

And a small business at that.

Why? Because those producing under three or four films a year have none of the cost savings, easy credit, or big assets those producing more films have. You actually have to think through the business of your production before you embark or you’ll end up getting eaten alive by costs you didn’t need to incur and failing to find the market your film needs.

This book is written for any entrepreneur starting any business.  I think that is critical.  Because when people talk about working in the film industry there’s this perception that there’s only one way to make money as an indie film producer.  This book helps you step back and see film, your film, as a product with an audience and it teaches you (literally) how to find that audience.  It tells you how to make your film sell itself from the time its just a script all the way until its a finished movie on the silver screen.

Build Your Business Now currently costs £14.99 which works out to about $20 depending upon the exchange rate. It is worth twenty times that.

You can buy the book and download it now.  You’ll find you refer to it over and over and over again as you run your business.  Whenever I hit a snag in any enterprise, I come back to this book and spend time reworking my business based on it’s guidelines to meet the new needs I’ve discovered.  I think you will as well.
